As members of the behavioral health world, we understand and accept that our industry is not quite as evolved as we would wish. There are still gaps between levels of care – especially between addiction and the acuity spectrum of mental health. Long-term sober living and outpatient options that support Medicine Assisted Treatment (MAT) are still few and far between. Many health insurance providers continue to push back on justified medical necessity and remain stingy with adequate authorizations. While these are real industry problems that ultimately hurt people, they are also a call for real industry purpose to better help people. We fill the gaps, we find the options and we push back on push back. The True Help Company, along with countless other industry colleagues, is proud of how far we’ve come, and we are empowered by the opportunity to continually improve.
